Spanish speakers who are deaf find help through Pinellas library
Rosa Rodriguez works for the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative, coordinating its Deaf Literacy Center. The Center offers many services for the Deaf population. These services include computer classes, educational workshops, tutoring, and more. Rodriguez also arrived in America from Puerto Rico. She helped launch – and lead – the Pinellas Deaf Literacy Center in the year 2000. She additionally helps other members of the Deaf population find work and accommodate to their new surroundings.
