Pottstown-Stowe Lions Club helps secure service dog for deaf woman
LuAnn Libatori has been deaf from birth, and hasn’t had a service dog for almost fifteen years. However, after recently deciding she needs one, she’s been trying to find a new dog, but has had trouble due to the Covid pandemic. Service dogs are quite expensive, costing over $6000 to train. Fortunately, Ms. Libatori secured help from the Pottstown-Stowe Lions Club, who helped cover the cost of her dog. Ms. Libatori now has a well-trained Australian Shepherd named Bear. Here’s hoping they have long and happy lives together.
