A soon-to-be Junior at Ohio University, Karli is majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a specialization in Political Science and Spanish. Her interest in Broadcast Journalism began during her education at Fenwick High School near Chicago, Illinois, where she founded the school’s Broadcast department through the creation of Fenwick Television. Karli is now the head editor for Newswatch, a political opinion columnist for The New Political, and a Chicago Bears Reporter for SportsRants Women. She has much experience in the newsroom as a news and sports anchor and also runs two successful blogs: a Music Review blog, and a personal blog cleverly entitled “Karli with a K.” There is nothing Karli can’t do.

Karli is connected to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community through her best friend who has worn hearing aids her whole life, but she hopes to learn even more about the community during her time as an on-air talent for’s YouTube Series. When asked why she wanted to be involved, she confirmed that she wanted to expand her knowledge on the community but also “help people get their voice out there. The reason I love being a journalist is the ability to let people tell their stories and have someone listen.”

With her confident and committed attitude and her experience in broadcast media, Karli will be an excellent addition to the team. While relaying the community happenings to our audiences in an entertaining yet professional manner, she will be giving a voice to those who want to be heard. Welcome to the family, Karli Bell!
