Former deaf school student writes children’s book
Alexis Domney, a Canadian deaf student of Gallaudet University, has recently released a children’s book called Splish, Splat. In the book, a young boy’s mother hires two deaf artists to paint his bedroom. The deaf artists accidentally fleck white paint on the blue walls as they sign to each other, and the boy ends up loving the effect. Domney hopes to use Splish, Splat to raise awareness about American Sign Language and Deaf Culture.
