‘Flash mob’ fights myths about deafness

An Illinois State University club called the Deaf Redbirds Association preformed a flash mob on the campus quad. A medley of songs by Maroon 5 was used and they used sign language to interpret. Most of the members wore a shirt with a myth about deafness on the front and the counter fact on the back. They wanted the students who witness the flash mob to stop and think about how they can get involved. The Deaf Redbirds have made that part easy, and offer sign language lessons twice a week to members.
