First deaf waitress in Door County details experience in the service industry

Brook Black recently became the first deaf waitress in Door County. The difficulty of the position cannot be understated, but Black has been adapting to the difficulties well. She was born deaf, and considers the job an opportunity to prove herself. Customers communicate with her by circling what they want with the menu. Black sees her inability to hear as a personal superpower, and tells other Deaf people to keep working towards a better life.
