Deaf, blind potter plans ceramic-making marathon to raise money for pottery school
Kevin Crosby is a deaf and blind potter who has recently attained considerable fame on social media like Tiktok. He can millions of views per day as he makes mugs and pots in his parents’ house in Clairmont. Crosby has greatly reduced hearing and sight. This is in part to his contraction of Usher Syndrome type 2 many years ago. This is also due to the gradual loss of his sight. On June 27th, Crosby held an auction to sell some of his pieces and performed a marathon of making 50 mugs in 7 hours. June 27th was also Hellen Keller’s birthday, which gave it special significance for him.
