Dave Grohl Has Been Reading Lips for 20 Years: ‘I’m F–king Deaf’

Dave Grohl, drummer for Nirvana and frontman of Foo Fighters, recently spoke about his hearing loss. He said to Howard Stern how he couldn’t understand a word Stern was saying. The drummer continues to say that if Stern sat next to him at dinner, Grohl wouldn’t understand a word he was saying. Dave also dislikes in-ear devices. However, his ears are still sensitive enough to discern small differences, down to the changes in between cymbal crashes. Grohl also complained about how the pandemic had made it more difficult for even him to communicate.
