National Deaf Awareness Campaign Kicks Off This week, the NAD (National Association of the Deaf) launched its annual Deaf Awareness Campaign, focused on “Deaf Visibility in Leadership”. The campaign encourages schools, workplaces, and government agencies to recognize and uplift Deaf leaders. Tag your stories on Instagram with #DeafLeads25 to be featured! Tip: NAD is also offering downloadable toolkits and free Zoom workshops all month. Visit NAD.org for more info.
Accessibility Win: TikTok Adds Better Captioning Tools TikTok has just rolled out AI-powered caption customization, letting Deaf users choose font, size, and background color for easier viewing. The update is a direct result of advocacy from Deaf creators. Deaf creator @DeafMorgan says, “It’s a small change, but it makes a big difference.” Want a tutorial on how to use it?
