The Chicago Lyric Opera is now offering a new option for its patrons – the SoundShirt. A fascinating new development in the world of theater, the SoundShirt allows deaf patrons to feel the rhythm of the music be transmitted to them. Microphones on stage translate the sound into motors, to match the vibrations of the music through the listener’s body.
