A Conversation with Amanda Harris

Nineteen-year-old Amanda Harris is a KODA (Kid of Deaf Adults) who, for her senior project, created a YouTube video titled “A day in the life of a deaf person.” The video responds to common questions Amanda faced about how the deaf deal with everyday situations. Amanda loves ASL, feels blessed to be a KODA, and has the utmost admiration for her father, “I will always admire my father for showing me that no matter what obstacles he goes through in life, his head is always kept high.”
