Deaf dogs and adopting less-adoptable dogs

Some people may know that September 18th through the 24th this year is Deaf Awareness Week – however, less people realize that it’s also Deaf Dog Awareness Week. Deaf dogs are just some of many dogs that are often deemed “less adoptable”. However, these dogs are just as innocent and playful as any other, even if they have some trouble hearing. Humans aren’t the only ones who can become deaf, after all. Our four-legged friends may also have trouble hearing. Just remember – deaf dogs, like all dogs, make wonderful pets when taken care of.
