New breakthrough pill could cure Tinnitus

Tinnitus is a condition that most commonly occurs when the stereocilia, sensory hair cells in the cochlea of the inner ear, are damaged and lost. However, researchers at the University of Arizona are on the trail to finding a cure. The treatment, which one day may be available in pill form, works on a molecule called TNF-A (tumour necrosis factor alpha) that disrupts communication between neurons.
