Deaf-family story ‘CODA’ and concert film ‘Summer of Soul’ are multiple award winners at Sundance

Two music-based winners recently claimed victory at the Sundance Film Festival. One of these victors was the film “CODA”. The film tells the tale of a young girl who translates for her deaf family. “CODA” won four separate awards at Sundance.

The film used real deaf actors—marking a turning point in cinema award history. The movie should start streaming on AppleTV+ later this year.
