Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind to build $28 million Decatur campus
The Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind will soon begin developing a new campus in Decatur, Alabama. This campus – named AIDB North – will feature multiple different programs and assets for K-12 students and adults. These include various educational programs, such as the school’s flagship programs, which have been established since 1858. These programs range from independent living and manufacturing to more advanced programs such as robotics and cybersecurity. The institute will also provide virtual instruction and hopes to create a resource center for deaf education.
